Name of the Research Project: Joint Indo-Norwegian project entitled "Counteracting effect of future Antarctic sea-ice loss on projected increases of summer Monsoon rainfall (C-ICE)

Objective: The overall objective is to understand the potential impact of Antarctic sea-ice loss on the ISM. Focus will be given to the atmospheric large-scale circulation dynamics involved in the teleconnection linking remote changes in the extra-tropics to the tropical monsoon dynamics.

Monthly Stipend: Junior/Senior Research Fellow (01) (Rs 25,000/- + 30% HRA for first two years and or Rs. 28,000/- + 30% HRA for 3’d year subject to review)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Sc.(Tech)/M.Tech. in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/Remote Sensing and GIS/Physics/Mathematics. The perspective candidate having M.Sc./M.Sc.(Tech) degree should have a good academic record and preferably GATE/NET qualified.
