It is our pleasure to inform you that The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is organizing a five-day residential climate research school in collaboration with Uni Research, Norway. The theme for this year is Weather and Climate Extremes. The program is designed for advanced Masters level students, early PhD students and early career scientists in the field of atmospheric, ocean science and modelling to provide them an understanding on the dynamicity and predictability of extremes events along with laboratory work on analysis of datasets. This activity is being supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in India and will be organized at TERI University, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi from September 18th 22nd, 2017. World renowned climate and weather scientists from institutions like University of Reading, Uni Research -Norway, INMET-Brazil, IITM, IIT-Delhi, SERB would be a part of the faculty team this year.

In this context, we invite meritorious nominations from various research departments/institutes/universities to join as a participant at the summer school. There is no registration fee for the school. The meals and accommodation during the duration of research school will be covered for the participants. Limited travel grants (AC-III tier train fare) may be provided for only Master level students participating from Indian Universities to attend the research school based on financial need and scientific merit of proposed abstract. Participants must attend the entire research school in order to benefit from the financial support that includes travel and boarding.
