PhD and Post-Doctoral position in Climate Economics, University of Bern,
Switzerland

The Institut of Applied Microeconmics at the University of Bern invites
applications for two research positions (4 years) in cooperation with
the NCCR Climate (Swiss National Center of Excellence in Research on
Climate; http://www.nccr-climate.unibe.ch/). The first position can be
filled at the postgraduate level (doctoral student), the second position
is at the post-doc level. Salaries are following regulations of the
Swiss National Science Foundation.

The NCCR Climate includes 18 projects in different fields ranging from
climate system sciences, physics, biology, geography to the social and
economic sciences. The research results are highly relevant for
government, business and society in general. Therefore the NCCR Climate
collaborates closely with key governmental and non-governmental
organizations, and the Private Sector.

Applicants for these positions should have a strong background in
economics and interest in modelling the economic consequences of climate
change and climate change policies. Willingness to collaborate with
colleagues from the natural sciences is essential. For further project
