São Paulo Summer School on Global Climate Modeling.
is aimed at discussing the leading edge knowledge on earth sciences, with its primary focus on land-ocean connections. Some topics covered during the Summer School are: - Global climate predictability and global oceans;
- Ocean circulation;
- Continental hydrology;
- Climate, ocean and river biogeochemistry;
- River discharge into the oceans;
- Modeling exercises with MOM4.
Applicants should be PhD students or postdocs on Earth system science from South America, South Africa or India.
Financial support (tickets and accommodation) is limited and available upon request. If you meet the selection criteria and want to be considered for financial support, the deadline for application in the Summer School is 15th July 2011. For applications that do not require financial support, deadline for applications is 30 July 2011. The successful candidates will be informed via e-mail until mid August 2011.
