    OSICON ’11- National Conference

Ocean Society of India (OSI) is a registered professional Society, four years old now and growing from strength to strength with the active support received from the Ocean science and technology community. OSI has life members located in major cities of India, Ahemadabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kharagpur, Kochi, Thiruvanthapuram and Visakhapatnam. The 1st national conference, OSICON 09, was successfully conducted in March 2009 at Visakhapatnam which was jointly organised by OSI and Andhra University. OSI is extremely happy to invite the community once again to its 2nd national conference (OSICON 11) which is scheduled to be held at National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai during 22-24 June 2011.Our main thrust for this conference would be “Technologies for Ocean Exploration”. Science and engineering are the two pillars on which the technologies grow and research investigations in all branches of marine science and engineering are important to realise new and innovative technologies for ocean exploration. OSICON 11 provides a forum to bring together scientists, academicians, researchers, engineers, technologists and all other personnel in the marine related fields to share their knowledge for the benefit of mankind.
