Introductory Courses Delft3D, May 12-16, 2008

The Delft3D team is pleased to invite you to attend this year’s Introductory Courses to be held at our premises in Delft. The Introductory Courses for novice users will be from May 12-16, 2008.

Introductory courses
Scope: During the courses, novice users of Delft3D with a background in hydrodynamics, civil engineering and water quality modelling will be trained along the lines of our standardised course package, viz. with ample attention for the program’s backgrounds, problem formulation, hands-on use and the interpretation of results. Practical examples will form the core of the sessions and participants are stimulated to propose specific problems for discussion.

Basic knowledge:

Though this is an introductory course, the participants must have some experience with Delft3D, or have gone through the Delft3D tutorials.


Programme:

May 12 – 13: Delft3D-FLOW

May 14 – 16: Session A: Delft3D-WAQ and PART

May 14 – 16: Session B: Delft3D-WAVE and FLOW-3DMOR

Each course also introduces the relevant preprocessing and postprocessing models.

Fee:
The course fee is Euro 450 per day (incl. VAT). Any second participant from the same organisation is entitled to a 10% discount, and any third will be given 15% reduction to this price.

Customers with a Maintenance & Support contract for one of the main Delft3D modules (FLOW, WAQ, SED, PART, MOR, WAVE): 25 % discount for the first participant.

University personnel and students
25 % discount over the total course fee. This discount can not be combined with other discounts.

Closure date to register:

The closure date to register is 12 April 2008.



Cancellation:

A registration can be cancelled free of charge up to 30 days prior to the commencement date of the course.
Participants who cancel their registration between 30 and 14 days prior to the commencement date of the course, will be charged 50 % of the fee.
Cancellation within 14 days prior to the commencement date of the course, will be charged 100 % of the fee.
A participant of a course is entitled to switch the registration once to the next training course. If the registration is switched between 30 days and 7 days an additional 25 % of the course fee will be charged.
The cancellation policy will not be applied if the participant arranges a suitable replacement.
If not enough registrations are received 30 days prior to the commencement date of the course, WL | Delft Hydraulics withholds the right to cancel the course.
