As the time for the renewal is getting closer, we look forward to you all for your active financial support

Budget Report for the year 2006-2007

It is our pleasure to notice that our website is gathering considerable attention on national and international universities as well as research labs. We as the moderators would like to congratulate every Cusatian member for showing this much effort taken for developing and publicizing the web site. The valuable posts by each of you are well praised. Now we are completing three years of successful launch.
We have spent the following amount for the site launch and maintenance. On the 1st of January 2005, we spent about 18$: We registered the domain and hosted the site in Starter plan (100MB web space and 1GB bandwidth).As we noticed that the band width used in one month exceeds 1GB, we shifted to Standard plan for getting additional 1GB bandwidth and 100MB web space.So altogether we spent around $27. (***For web hosting 10+9=$19 and domain registration 8$) or in Indian rupees about Rs.1188/-. And we collected about Rs.2500/-(66$) from our members. So the balance amount we have is 2500-1188= RS. 1712/-. ($39) As one year term (2005) comes to an end we have to renew the contract with the hosting server as last year. As we look more forward to the future and we thought to renew the contract for next two years, which will save us from upcoming price hikes. So for two years it will come about $57 (Rs. 2508). The amount has been paid and the contract has been renewed for next two more years. So a deficit of Rs.796 ($18) is there. (Budget Report 2005).
In the second year, as we started with some deficit, we could get some money through pay-pal account. We collected about 36$ (Details given in Contribution list @ Cusatian's).
So as of now we have 18$ with us. But as you all know we need more money to fulfill our ambitions about the site. To renew me may require about 60$. If we are planning to have some workshop or some journals, etc still more amount have to be collected. I request you to be generous and help this site to grow, more over; this is your own site. So just build it higher…….
I request each of these institute members to participate actively in suggesting and contributing for the development of the site. Do give publicity about the site in the respective working places so that we can have more and more interacting chances.

Contribution Request

On the 1st of October 2009, we have paid 180$ for our vBulletin content management system. We had about 57$ in our pay pal account which was donated in the previous year by our dear members. Again we have to renew our website by next year mid which will again cost about 35$. So altogether we require 160 $ to keep our website live in action.

Please make a note that the entire amount paid for vBulletin other than 57$ is by one of the administrator since it was very urgently required. There was no time for us to collect money and pay, since our site crossed the time limit of free usage. So this amount is very much urgently required to keep our website out of debit.

The main objective of our site is to help the upcoming oceanographic researchers and students to excel in their field of research and studies. For this purpose we are also planning for some kind of newsletter along with Annul Report (online and printed) from coming years.

So I request you to make suggestions as well as contributions keeping those new objectives in mind.

Contributions can be done like this,

1. One person in each lab should take the initiative for this and collect money from all the oceanographer cusat members in that institute.
2. After collecting money from all members of the respective institute, he/she can send a cheque of that amount to my address (given below) with only AMOUNT written (Please don’t write anything in the NAME column). You can call me in the following numbers to know the convenient method for both of us.

3. One can also use DD for sending money (DD Should be in My name).

6. Kindly put a note along with DD/Cheque telling the names of the contributors and also suggestions from each member listed with name. We insist the assigned member to be strict in the case of suggestions for improving our site.
