Anybody has reliable information on the exact time of occurrence of Sumatra & Andaman - earth quakes?
Is the Sumatra quake (9point on Richter scale) generated waves that affected India, Sri Lanka and other countries surrounding the Indian Ocean? I believe that that the Andaman earth quake (7point on Richter scale) generated those waves. The waves, after refraction, left the southwest coast (Tuticorin, Trivandrum) untouched. The waves reached west coast of India around 10:00 IST (coincides with the spring tide).
Anybody has data (prior to 26th Dec'04) on Indian ocean floor ?? What hapened to the Indian ocean floor after the earth quake? :confused:
