Atmospheric Chemistry Research Scientist
This NERC funded research post is available immediately for a fixed-term of
3 years.
The grant is between the Schools Earth and Environment (Dr Mat Evans) and
Chemistry (Prof Mike Pilling). The Research objectives are to produce
chemistry schemes suitable to be included in Chemistry Transport Models and
Coupled Composition – Climate models such as the UKCA model
(http://www.atm.ch.cam.ac.uk/acmsu/research_ukca.html) based upon the Master
Chemical Mechanism (http://www.copernicus.org/EGU/acp/acp/3/161/) which the
School of Chemistry plays a significant development and exploitation role.
You will have a PhD or equivalent in a chemical or physical science and a
strong mathematical background.
Research IA (£20,044 – £30,002 p.a.)
The University is introducing a new reward framework which will facilitate
the recruitment, retention and motivation of world class staff.
