EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - TECHNICAL SALES
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS and SYSTEMS
OSIL is at the forefront of ocean & environmental technology, selling and
developing a wide range of innovative monitoring equipment and systems. A
vacancy exists for a self-motivated sales person to work within a small,
highly focussed team.
Salary: £18,000 p.a. basic plus car, benefits & commission (OTE circa
£24,000
in year 1)
THE ROLE: The individual will be responsible for increasing the sales for
the entire range of OSIL products to the UK & Overseas markets. Activities will
include prospecting, progressing and closing sales together with
after-sales customer support. Some product promotional effort will be required
including trade shows, product launches and sales campaigns. Reporting to the Sales
Director you will be expected to achieve minimum sales targets. Interaction
with customers will take place on a daily basis by means of telephone,
email or face-to-face meetings. This is a challenging post which offers high
rewards for success.
THE PERSON: Ideally you will have a relevant degree in oceanography,
environmental science, hydrology or related subject, together with a
minimum of 6 months sales experience in a technical field. You will be highly
motivated with a good scientific understanding of the natural environment.
The successful candidate will be well focussed with the ability to recognise customer
requirements and to offer appropriate technical solutions.
