I need some help with this. I have a two component current (U and V) and I'm trying to do complex demodulation to figure out how much of my total current velocity is due to the inertial component. All I care about is the clockwise part of my inertial current. I'm horrible at math and have no clue if I'm doing this right. What I have so far (not actual code but the matlab theory behind it):

f = coriolis frequency

w = 2pi / f

inertial_current= (U + iV) * exp(iwt)

Now low pass filter 'inertial_current' variable

Thus,

U_inertial = real(inertial_current)

V_inertial = imag(inertial_current)

Am I doing this right????
