Empa is a Swiss Research Institution of the ETH-Domain.
The Laboratory for Air Pollution/Environmental Technology offers a
research position in
atmospheric science
to strengthen its modelling activities.
Based on measurements, chemical analysis and modelling, we identify,
quantify and analyze the relevant fluxes of pollutants from anthropogenic
sources into the atmosphere.
You have a track record in atmospheric science and you are interested
in the scientific use of satellite data for air pollution studies. You
are also familiar with transport models. Your focus of interest is the
investigation of emission and transboundary distribution of pollutants
relevant to climate change and human health by combining ground based
and airborne measurements with statistical analysis and model
calculations.
You have proven experience in this field and are capable of developing
successful research strategies for the future. Experience in managing
scientific teams on an international level and strong links within the
scientific community are welcome.
