Hi Costa,

Usually, Oceanographic plots are made using special softwares. A list of
useful softwares are listed here (http://www.oceanographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8).

It is not a big deal, to plot the current speed and direction Vs depth,
or any other kind of plots, by using above softwares. Once you choose
one of the above softwares, you can have assistance of large number
of users on that particular software-group, for your questions and answers.

Now, about your plot, It would be better if you plot 'Velocity Sticks',

a) with length of the stick propotional to the magnitude of the current,
b) stick rotation in 360 degrees about an axis, showing the current
directions, toward East-North-West-South.
c) and the depth increases along that axis.

This kind of plots are made rather easily by using those softwares
mentioned above.

Once you select your software, and found difficulty in plotting,
you could ask help either on that software group or here in this
web-site.

Thanks
