hey, people! Why are we filipinos(from the Philippines) experiencing an extremely hot temperature these days? Recently we had this 39.2 oC. Does El Niņo phenomenon have anything to do with it? Do you have any artificial solution for this?

Also, i wanna know if theres such thing as an artificial way of preventing such extremely hot temperature.

So far the forecast being done over the ElNino, the climate experts from
National Center for Climate Predicitons (NCEP/NCAR) says that, the
early hot climate featured over the western Pacific ocean is likely
associated with the ongoing MJO (Madden Julian Oscillation). As a
quote from their report,
"ENSO-neutral conditions are expected to prevail during the northern summer
(June-August), in spite of recent increases in SST anomalies associated with strong
Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) activity."
This report is refering to the present year (2005). The scientists emphasise that
the early warming might, only a signal of MJO, and ElNino will not persist
in this year.
However, I passed through the web site of CMMACS (India), the monsoon
2005 may affected by this likely ElNino conditions prevailed over the
pacific during the early summer of this year. Is there any other information
about it?
Now, for the public interest, It is quite demanding for publics to know wheather
these climate events could be controlled artificially. Unfortunately the answer is
'No', because climate is a large scale regime whose driving is not under
our control. The best we can do is to forecast the events and drive our life
suitable for the climate. However, it is should not omit to add, some kind of
seeding in the atmosphere is experimenting to promote the rain-fall over
drought places. As i happened to see a 'BBC telecast on Wild Weather, such kind of
'clould seeding' is being done in commerical way. So this is an artificial control
of atmosphere.
