Jayanarayanan Kutttippurath successfully completed his doctoral studies from University of Bremen. He had his open defence last Monday and the examiners gave him a 'very good' grade.
Jayan, as known to all in the CUSAT (1998-2000), started reading for PhD in University of Bremen from December 2001 with a fully funded scholarship from the Department of Physics of the university. Though a Physical Oceanographer, Jayan started investigating stratosphere dynamics using an airborne submillimeter radiometer and simulating and characterising the data with models. Title of his work is, 'Study of stratospheric composition using airborne submillimeter radiometry and a chemical transport model'.
As the verdict from the Examiners, it is clear the PhD is an excellent work put by him through hard-work and non-stop enthusiasm. So I would like to congratulate him on his success and wish him all the best in the future.
Those who have not seen him or forgot his face a snap is attached (Cool... what change a PhD can do !!! )
Best Regards
