The CNRS has opened a Post-Doc Position to work on the

Influence of the Stratosphere on Climate.
LMD-CNRS, Ecole Normale Supérieure
Paris France

The work will essentially consist in the callibration of the wave activity (explicit and parameterized) in the stratospheric version of our GCM using the Constant level ballon data available at our Institute. The candidate will also analyse the impact of the stratospheric dynamic onto the tropophere low frequency variability, and using a variety of GCM simulations.

The candidate will work with F. Vial, A. Hetzog and myself.
A more complete description of the work is attached to this E-mail.

The application file should be returned to me by for the 8 May 2005.

I know this is short but the dead-line for us to send the selected candidate file to the CNRS is the 15 May.
Further administrative details can be found at the location
