Aerosol Characterisation

The Institute for Chemistry and Dynamics of the Geosphere (ICG II):
Troposphere of the Research Centre Juelich invites applications for a
PhD position in the area of aerosol measurements. The aerosol group at
the ICG II is studying secondary organic aerosol formation from
oxidation processes in simulation experiments. Two large atmospheric
simulation chambers are in operation at the ICG II. The successful
applicant will participate in the development of a new measurement
technique to characterize the secondary organic aerosol from biogenic
emissions.
The successful applicant will be responsible for instrumental
development and measurements at two simulation chambers.
Education: Diploma or equivalent university degree in chemistry,
physics, environmental sciences
Skills: experience in mass spectrometry and aerosol measurement
techniques are a pro.
