Under the Marine Living Resources Programme of Centre for Marine Living Resources and Ecology (CMLRE), Cochin, the following post of Project Scientists (3 Nos.), Honorary Scientist- (1 No), JRF (3 Nos.) and System Administrator (1 No.), are to be filled up based on Walk-in-Interview to be held on 13th April 2010 between 1000hrs to 1300hrs at CMLRE, Block C, 6th Floor, Kendriya Bhavan, Kakkanad, CSEZ P.O, Cochin 682037.
Project Scientists (3 Nos.) – :- One each for the project – Studies on Myctophid Resources, Marine Benthos and Hatchery Technology of Marine ornamental fishes.
Essential Qualifications :-Candidates with M.Sc first class in Marine Biology / Oceanography / Fisheries / Mariculture / Aquaculture / Zoology or equivalent from any recognized university in the relevant subject with a minimum of three years experience in field data collection and analysis or Ph.D on relevant subjects. Age limit: Maximum 35 yrs as on 01.01.2010.
Honorary Scientist:--Essential Qualifications- Scientist (serving / Retired) with minimum 15 yrs research experience in Marine Biology with sound knowledge on OBIS / CoML
and coral reef diversity.
Junior Research Fellows:-Environment and productivity patterns, IndOBIS / CoML and Studies on fish eggs and larvae.
Essential Qualification:-First class M.Sc in Marine Biology / Fisheries / Zoology / Chemical Oceanography / Analytical Chemistry / Hydrochemistry / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Environmental sciences or equivalent from any recognized university. Age limit:- Maximum 28yrs as on 01.01.2010
System Administrator:--IndOBIS and CoML programme
Essential Qualification: - First class MCA / MSc in Computer Science with working experience in database management preferably oceanographic and marine resources database
