Registration of Students with Scholastic Aptitudes (ROSSA)-2008
Eligibility
Scholars, with 1st class BE/BTech in Engineering or Post Graduation in science subjects or in Psychology or Mathematics, who have been awarded Ph D in the year 2007 or likely to be awarded PhD on or before 31 Oct 2008.
Subject/ Disciplines
Engineering/Life Sciences/Basic Sciences or Psychology or Mathematics with area of research having direct interest/relevance to DRDO.
Age Not exceeding 35 years as on 31 Oct 2008
Post/ Scale of Pay
Scientist ‘C’, in the scale of Rs. 10,000-325-15,200 plus amount equivalent to two increments and allowances & facilities as applicable to Central Government employee i.e. Leave Travel Concession, Medical Facilities, Advance for Car, House Building & Computer, Personal Update Allowance, Group Insurance, CSD etc.

Eligible and desirous candidates should apply in prescribed format complete in all respect alongwith Rs.50/- Indian Postal Order (Non refundable) with superscription on the envelop “ Application for Registration of Students with Scholastic Aptitudes(ROSSA)”, to the address given below on or before 31 Oct 2008. Forms can be downloaded from RAC website http://rac.drdo.in
Important Instructions
.Application received on other than prescribed format is liable to be rejected.
. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained.
.Applications which are incomplete, unsigned and without IPO & photograph will be rejected summarily.
.Candidates in Central/State Govt/PSU/UT service whether in a permanent of temporary capacity are required to submit their applications through proper channel alongwith NOC.
. Scholars found suitable based on their academic achievements and area of research work relevant to DRDO matching with specific requirement of various labs would be called for
interview subject to meeting the essential eligibility criteria.
. Those applicants who were interviewed under ROSSA Scheme in the year 2007 need not apply.
