Applications invited for a Researcher in Marine Geophysics based within the NERC Strategic Research Division of the National Oceanographic Centre, Southampton

You will have a PhD in a geological/geophysical field and proven experience in shallow sub-surface marine multi-channel seismic acquisition processing and interpretation with a particular emphasis on characterising in situ sedimentary architecture and rock properties, continental margin instability and geophysical imaging of fluid flow. A proven ability to publish research and work within a team environment is required and you should have the potential to develop and lead externally funded-research programmes.

Dependent on qualifications and experience this post will be offered either as a permanent or fixed-term position available from 1 December 2008 and the salary will be in the range of £28,290 - £41,545 per annum.
