Hi all,

Where can i get ETOPO2 bathymetry and land elevation data in ASCII format ?? Can anyone let me know.

Hey deba, check if they provide the etopo2 in ascii or other formats.

Thanks Dr. Rocksea,

I did look into the data provided there.
But its all binary/raw_binary format. Kindly let me know the source from where I can get ASCII ETOPO2 data

Theres a mention of ASCII data in the above link. But I am just unable to loacte it. Probably the info provided is incomplete.

I think it would be difficult to get it in ascii form as it is a very high resolution data. May be it is better to download the binary and convert to ascii?

In the link you have given, they have mentioned that the ascii data is for GFDL use only, so you wont be able to download. Also, they have acquired their data from the previous link, NGDC. Or better try to contact GFDL or NGDC regarding the ascii data, they may be able to help!

select data base and other options like output format from the fields
