Hi all,
Recently i work with ADCP data and i try to study the 2 layer patterns in the across component, to related with the off-shore Ekman transport associated with coastal upwelling process. I used the EOF anallysis to summarized the variability, my problem is when I work with same particular year the temporal EOF described one pattern (positive peaks) when observed a surface out-coast flow and a deep in-coast flow whereas, for other year the peaks are negative (reverse) for the same pattern in the currents, why? :confused:
